About Us
Christian Tabernacle Outreach Ministries (C.T.O.M.) was started on June 23, 2008, by Pastor Emmit Cherry and First Lady Cleasteen M. Cherry. Our Church has a vision from God to reach out to the unsaved. This vision is not just a local vision, but a worldwide vision. Sinners all over the world need to be saved. The church also has a plan to feed the hungry and provide clothing for those who may be in need. We ask that you continue to pray with us that our vision will grow and increase according to the will of God.
Christian Tabernacle Outreach Ministries has four ministers on staff. Our ministerial staff is under the annointed leadership and direction of Pastor Emmit Cherry. The ministerial staff is comprised of Assistant Pastor Gerald C. Puckett, Elder Clifford E. Williams Jr. and Minister Emma J. Floyd. In accordance with 2 Timothy 4:1-5, we are charged to preach the Word, which is the true Gospel, in season and out of season.
We are of the Apostolic Ministries International - An Affiliation of the Book of Acts 2:38. We fully believe in the Word of God and the teachings of Jesus Christ. We believe in one God who became flesh as Jesus Christ to die for the sins of the world (John 1:1-3, 14; 1 Timothy 3:16). We fully believe that everyone must be born again to enter the Kingdom of God(John 3:3,5). We further believe that to experience the new birth one must be baptized in water in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ by immersion and baptized with the Holy Spirit(Ghost) with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
